Not content with running a marathon for the first time in 17 years, I’ve now rashly decided 2019 is a great year to take on a 24-hour race. I have no idea what I was thinking, I don’t even own camping equipment.
I would like to blame my friend, next door neighbour and fellow runner, but it was me that entered my details online and paid the entry fee. I have to take full responsibility for my actions.
So far no one has said I’m mad or daft or stupid to take on this challenge, but I have only told my PT and husband. They’ve both been encouraging and my fab PT has ran the same event a number of times and is a wealth of knowledge about the event, the course and what food and equipment to take. (Jaffa cakes, chocolate and hand warmers are top of the list!).
The event is in September, which is a very long time away at the moment. Plenty of time to worry, panic and stress nearer the time! Hash:
